C.O.F.D.M - Video

Ardpet

The Ardpet VLT/R16 series is an entry level COFDM link with many features of its military relatives. It has been designed for professional security users such as Local Authorities and Police TSUs. It features substitution cipher encryption as standard.

The VLR16-D1.4 receiver consists of a down converter unit and IF receiver to allow the widest range of practical installations. Furthermore power to the down converter is fed via the feeder coax to minimise installation costs.

An optional RF Splitter/Bias Tee can be fitted in order to run two receivers from a single down converter and antenna allowing single installations to receive two channels simultaneously.

The standard unit operates on a single RF channel, multi channel versions are also available with channel selection via an optional hand held controller or software running on a PC.

SNOOPY

The SNOOPY System is a highly ruggedised, lightweight radio system designed for high quality transmission of video, audio and data signals using ECS
proprietary COFDM modulation techniques. SNOOPY equipment is available in a range of frequencies across the UHF band, suitable for use in a rural environment where traditional COFDM equipment cannot be used.

The SNOOPY Series is part of a new generation of microwave links designed by award winning company Enterprise Control Systems Ltd ( ECS) . ECS has a enviable track record in the design of microwave link systems, with a 20 year history involving design of analogue and digital solutions ECS has now developed 5th generation COFDM radio . The SNOOPY system uses ECS proprietary COFDM modulation scheme with a limited number of carriers, ( 128 and 256 COFDM carrier options available ) to carry high quality signals in minimal bandwidth. The video and audio signals are compressed prior to modulation so the bandwidth of the system ( 1/2 MHz options ) is appropriate for use in UHF bands.

SNOOPY is suitable for non line of sight operation. It has been designed for discrete military and Police use and the careful selection of frequency bands and configuration allow it to be deployed in both rural and semi rural areas. The SNOOPY system will perform well in areas of high forestation, wet foliage and even over the brow of a hill where normal COFDM systems would not be usable. ECS uses an accredited AES encryption technique to uniquely provide unrivalled security. Range of 4 Km non line of sight ( NLOS ) , in a rural environment, is typical for UHF band use.

A range of ancillary equipment is available to complement the SNOOPY. This includes a wide range of both discrete and overt antenna systems and fully integrated receive terminals such as handy-view and integrated briefcases.
